Literacy Week WAS MEMORABLE, ENGAGING & WELL-READ
Trivia games, mystery readers, buddy reading, and a theme for each day were just some of the activities in a jam-packed week filled with literacy (Nov. 20-24). Students made connections between the books they read and their own experiences, engaged in conversations about their class-chosen authors, and opened up an exciting world that went beyond the four walls of their classroom. A special thanks to parents who donated books and read to classes, and to the literacy team: Mrs. Allyson, Ms. Melissa, Mrs. Harmony, Ms. RaMona and Ms. Temeka for their hard work in helping to make it a success!

MUSIC CONCERT
Our Meridian students have been hard at work getting ready to spread some holiday cheer at our upcoming music concert! On December 14 starting at 5:30 p.m. the school grounds will be a festive delight of vendors selling holiday crafts, food and drinks, and of course, star performances from all our classes.
The concert will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. Students are asked to be at school no later than 6:00 p.m. dressed in their costume (see earlier email by Ms. Yenia).
In order to prepare for that evening, we are asking parents to please pick up your child promptly at 12 p.m. on December 14. There will be no lunch orders on this day (and on our last day of school, December 15).
WE WOULD LOVE YOUR HELP!
If you have inflatable holiday figures such as a Santa Clause, snowman, etc. or Christmas trees with lights, and have a knack for decorating, please email courtneer@themeridianschool.com.
Thanks for your support and help!
