It is also with much sadness that we inform you of the departure of a few members of our staff. Firstly, we say goodbye this year to our Grade 2 teacher Ms. Kisha Josie. Kisha joined The Meridian School when we first opened our doors to Primary School in 2003. She has made a priceless contribution to our school. Sports Days and staff socials will never be the same!!!! We wish Kisha love as she returns to the U.S. and lots of luck for her future career.
Also leaving us this year is Ms. Marsha Fontaine who will be returning to Canada and Ms. Crystal who has been offered a position in The Bahamas Police Force. We extend thanks to them for their continued service and dedication to our children.
Effective, 3 rd July we welcome Miss Gloria Banks to our school. Gloria holds an undergraduate degree in Law and a Master's Degree in Special Education and Educational Administration. For the past four years she has served in the capacity of special education coordinator for the island of Eleuthera . She has accepted the post of second grade teacher and special education coordinator for The Meridian School.
This has been a wonderful year at The Meridian School. Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to educate your child. Each child has demonstrated an understanding that hard work, perseverance and a positive attitude are the keys to success. They have truly contributed to making our school an incredibly special place to be.
To those of you leaving our family this year, you will be HUGELY missed. May the opportunities and experiences learned at The Meridian School provide you with the love, respect and courage to assist you with reaching your full potential.
Have a wonderful summer, keep safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing you return on Monday 4 th September, 2006 .
